How does Eatvia adapt a recipe?

Paste any recipe URL or plain text and Eatvia rewrites it against your saved diets, allergies, dislikes and spice level. You get the full adapted recipe plus a list of every ingredient swap it made — nothing is silently changed.

Can I trust it with a serious food allergy?

Accepted Answer

Every swap comes with the reason behind it, flagged as a safety swap, a dietary swap or a pantry swap, so you can check the logic yourself. Eatvia is a cooking assistant, not a medical service: always read ingredient labels on the products you buy, and never rely on it alone for a severe or anaphylactic allergy.

Where do I set my diets and allergies?

On your dashboard, in the dietary profile card. Add diets (vegan, gluten-free, low FODMAP and more), allergens to avoid, ingredients you dislike and your spice tolerance. Every adaptation from then on respects that profile automatically.

Question 4

What does the pantry do?

Accepted Answer

Add what you already have at home and Eatvia prefers those ingredients when it swaps, so you cook what needs using up instead of buying more. Your shopping list also hides anything already in your pantry.

Can I change the number of servings?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Use the portion scaler on any adapted recipe to scale ingredients up or down, and save a default serving size so future adaptations arrive already scaled for your household.

How do the meal planner and shopping list work together?

Accepted Answer

Schedule saved recipes onto days of the week in the planner, then generate a shopping list from that week. Ingredients are combined across recipes, deduplicated, checked against your pantry, and fully editable before you shop.

What's the difference between Starter and Pro?

Accepted Answer

Starter ($5/month) covers recipe adaptation, your dietary profile, saved recipes and the pantry. Pro ($8/month) adds the meal planner and automatic shopping lists. Both plans start with a 7-day free trial.

Question 8

How does the 7-day free trial work?

Accepted Answer

You add a card when you start the trial but nothing is charged for seven days. Cancel any time before the trial ends and you won't be billed at all.

Question 9

How do I cancel or change my plan?

Accepted Answer

Open Billing from the dashboard header and use Manage subscription. You can switch between Starter and Pro, update your card, or cancel — access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.

Question 10

A recipe URL would not import — what now?

Accepted Answer

Some sites block automated readers or hide recipes behind a paywall or login. Copy the ingredients and steps and paste them as text instead; the adaptation works identically. If a site you use often fails, send it to us and we will look at it.

Question 11

Can I delete my account and data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Send us a request from the form on this page from your account email address and we will delete your account, saved recipes, pantry and profile data. Deletion is permanent.

How fast will support reply?

Accepted Answer

A person reads every message, usually replying within one business day. Allergy and safety questions and billing problems go to the front of the queue.
